Welcome
The People's Emergency Briefing is a film that presents frank and hard-hitting facts about the climate and nature crisis we are facing, and what we can do about it. The film has been made to help inform communities and to bring them together in conversation. It can be a difficult message to hear, and harder still to know what to do in response.
This website gives our island community a place to come together in facing the problems the film sets out, to understand them in a Guernsey context, and to help shape the action we can take as individuals, as businesses and as a small and agile jurisdiction.
The film was made for the UK and talks about MPs and Westminster. We don't have MPs; we have deputies and the States. The evidence is the same. The decisions are ours.
Screened in Guernsey on Tuesday 29 September 2026 at Beau Séjour, followed by a panel discussion.

The nine briefings
In November 2025, ten of the UK's leading experts briefed politicians and leaders in Westminster. The film is built around those briefings. Each speaker's briefing can be linked to Guernsey's climate.
